HedZ Salon doubled their makeover fun this month by transforming twins, Lisa Colgan and Lesley Meek. A friend called HedZ on behalf of the sisters, hoping that these two hardworking teachers could have a day of pampering.
Even though the ladies are twins, the salon team wanted to give each their own unique, different look. Stylist Erica Nadler took on Lisa's hair, aiming for an updated, yet natural style. Lisa's hair was too blonde for her skin tone, so Erica gave Lisa a partial weave with under color, darkening her hair color a few levels. The shade contrast gives an illusion of thicker, fuller hair and brings out the color in her face. Plus, the color keeps her looking good longer between appointments. Lisa was looking for an easier style to maintain, so Erica cut her hair in a slightly shorter style, to bring out her cheekbones and make home-styling quicker.
Stylist Jamie Stitt gave Lesley's hair a new look. Jamie used diamond and block color patterns similar to the recent techniques used on Jessica Simpson for the filming of "The Dukes of Hazard." She gave Lesley a trendy, edgy haircut to compliment her color.
Christine Stanowicz gave both of the twins a make-up application. Christine wanted to bring out their eyes, and used a mixture of eye color with a deep shade in the crease. For the pouty look on the lips she used a natural liner and a glossy lip shine. |
